OUR VISION

Long story short, we are here to be a blessing.
  • From the gutters to prison cells, project housing to public schools, beauty is taking place in spaces that many may never see or know about. Regardless of what city you look at, there are lights present and shining within dark realities.

There are hundreds of organizations around the nation who are doing impactful work in their communities. While we appreciate larger and long established organizations, we are focused on the beautiful work taking place in the grassroots organizations and ministries that are faithfully committed to serving the needs within their beloved communities.

In under-resourced contexts the need is especially great. And while that doesn’t stop local organizations from committing to the work, they often navigate a lack of resources as they focus on their mission. For many, the goal isn’t expansion, but to have the means to survive and operate their organization as the needs continue to exist.

  • Change starts taking place when we listen to the stories around us. When we are made aware of the stories of others, the opportunity for organic partnership can begin.

Other than face to face proximity, there is no better way to convey a story to someone than through filmmaking. Our hope is that as people watch the films created in partnership with Beloved Stories, that natural avenues of partnership would be revealed and realized.

These films can be used to benefit an organization through their own marketing strategies, sharing their story within their own contexts. But we hope these films would reach far beyond where we can imagine, touching hearts in familiar and unfamiliar spaces.

Once people are aware of the organization, now they can know how to help.

  • Amidst the brokenness that surrounds every community and society in the world, there is beauty, roses growing from the concrete. It is in the presence of the hardest circumstances where the greatest miracles can be seen and known.

Over 2,000 years ago Jesus gave a mandate to his disciples, that what they do unto the poor, the sick, the imprisoned, the stranger, the hungry and the thirsty, they do unto Him. Among the marginalized and in-need is where you find Jesus, and where you will find His disciples worshipping Him. The work has moments that are far from glamorous, times filled with tears, desperate faith, and waiting upon the Lord to provide where there is lack. Still, God is faithful.

As we see in scripture, the people of God were blessed to be a blessing. Where there was abundance, it would be shared among the community where there was need. Within the Church, various gifts were given, diversifying the way in which God’s hand reaches into the highways and byways of the city.

Well, we want to capture where God’s hand is reaching through those who embody a faithful presence. Our goal is to capture where the beauty is taking place, in the midst of meeting the realities of deep brokenness, for the good of all the city.

  • Oh Triune God, before all ideas and dreams, we ask that you have your way with this initiative. We are committed to moving at the pace of prayer, dependent on your leading and word.

Our prayer is that people would be touched through the stories of your children. We pray that people would see Jesus, your faithfulness, and the goodness of your design as your people remain in this world to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind, and to love their neighbor.

May our cameras be a pulpit, a tool and mouthpiece to capture the stories of where many may never see otherwise. May the films honor those whose stories they tell, and ultimately reflect the heart of God. May the brokenness captured be handled with care and gentleness, never forgetting of that people are suffering on the other side of the situations shared. No film is more important than a person, so may the wellness others always be prioritized above capturing footage. May we have wisdom of when to put the camera down, and when to pick it up.

Use these films to bless all who watch them. May hearts and minds be stirred by your Spirit, in all the mysterious ways that you inspire and speak. May tears be shed and smiles arise. May those who have forgotten what you have called your church to be, be reminded. May those who may have never known, find truth revealed. May all who participate be loved well. We long to see your church walk like Jesus, kneeling down in the dust, living and serving amongst the poor, and loving all people.

We are committed to approaching each project with a posture of worship to you, Abba Father. Would you use these films not only to bless viewers, but to also in return, to stir people to navigate how they can partner with the organization whose story they now know. We ask you Holy Spirit, may collaboration take place organically, as you speak into and lead the hearts of those watching. Bless these organizations, that they would continue to do the work that you have called them to, ultimately unto Your glory, oh God.

We thank you for the opportunity to be artists, creating as children of the supreme Artist and Creator. May our art echo your glory amidst a hurting world. May we represent you well, Jesus, in all that we say and do. Be glorified in Beloved Stories, as we recount of the beautiful things that you have done and are still doing. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.
